By now, you’ve heard all about the $50 million in improvements happening at Park City. It is now the largest resort in North America. But it’s not the only resort in this community that’s stepping up its game. Not to be outdone, Deer Valley made its largest summer investment ever, updating and modernizing its hiking and biking trails.

This summer, Deer Valley enlisted the help of world-renowned bike resort development company, Gravity Logic, to improve its existing trails, and create an all new intermediate downhill “flow” trail. Filled with berms, rollers and jumps... these trails run from the top of Bald Mountain to Silver Lake.

The team also partnered with the Park City Mountain Trails Foundation to extend Mid Mountain Trail. So no matter your skill level, there’s something new for everyone.

Of all the new trails, Tidal Wave is my favorite, check out the video I threw together highlighting "The Wave".

Of course... you only have a couple weeks of summer left along the Wasatch Back. Deer Valley’s daily operations shut down on Labor Day, and weekend operation only continue through September 20th. Go get some brown pow... before it turns white!

Matt Baydala, originally from Rockville Centre, New York, sniffed his way to Park City, Utah in 2006. Since then, he has built a career as the Owner of the Park City restaurant Yuki Yama Sushi. His passion and appreciation for the diversity of Utah’s wintersports product make him the perfect Powderhound. "For me skiing The Greatest Snow on Earth is not just a hobby; it’s an obsession," exclaimed Baydala. "Now I have the opportunity to share this awesome life we live out here with the entire skiing community."
