A pretty rare weather system just rolled through Utah. We just experienced what those out on the West Coast call an Atmospheric River. Basically that means that the storm had a connection to the tropics or lower latitudes. What that also means is there was a tremendous amount of water that fell from the sky. While that didn’t translate into epic snow totals like one would think, it did turn into the best base building storm I’ve seen in years. Wasatch Snow Forecast did a great job summarizing the storm so check it out. Rolling into Christmas, we couldn’t have asked for a better set up!
Oh and I almost forgot, almost the entire State of Utah is under a Winter Storm Watch for Christmas Day. Looks like another 1-2 Feet of the Blower Utah Powder is on the way!
