The Life of a Powderhound

Have you ever wondered what it is like to be Ski Utah's Ultimate Powderhound?  Well, our good friends at Park City Television interviewed me last Thursday and got the scoop.  I must also point out that last week I went on air and predicted the current change in the weather pattern, well sort of. Just watch and see for yourself.

Since that interview was taped, I've been able to ski with the  Park City Powder Cats, skied my 60th day of the year on Thursday February 17 and scored powder turns all day at the Canyons Resort.  I'd say it's been a pretty good week.  The forecast is only getting better with another Winter Storm Watch being posted for the majority of Utah's mountains this weekend. In my opinion this storm looks like it is really going to pummel Utah's southern mountains, so if you have the chance now is the time to get to Eagle Point  or Brian Head.

Check out the video I shot yesterday at the Canyons Resort

Matt Baydala, originally from Rockville Centre, New York, sniffed his way to Park City, Utah in 2006. Since then, he has built a career as the Owner of the Park City restaurant Yuki Yama Sushi. His passion and appreciation for the diversity of Utah’s wintersports product make him the perfect Powderhound. "For me skiing The Greatest Snow on Earth is not just a hobby; it’s an obsession," exclaimed Baydala. "Now I have the opportunity to share this awesome life we live out here with the entire skiing community."
