Usually people are left with a massive hangover after St. Patrick's day. Today was apparently no exception. Upon arriving at Alta at 9am not only were we parked in the front row but a lift line hadn't even even begun to form at the Collins Lift. That equals zero competition for those of us smart enough to lay off the booze last night and watch the weather instead. Today truly was the sleeper storm of the year. Yesterdays forecast called for a trace -2 inches over night. What we ended up skiing was something closer to 14 inches of the Greatest Snow on Earth.
