This short video pretty much tells the story of why Deer Valley's Children's programs are so popular with both kids and parents. The final day of my daughter's after school Friday program was dubbed the "Ski Extravaganza" and parents were advised to be there at 3pm sharp to enjoy the festivities. This was my daughter's 2nd season in the program, and she had graduated to the Reindeer, for 5 and 6 year olds. Most parents hopefully learn early on that when it comes to skiing, when your kid is happy, you are happy.

Sue, there are some great places to stay in lower Deer Valley (known as the Snow Park area, vs. upper Deer Valley, which is known as Silver Lake). This video was shot just steps away from the Black Diamond Lodge. You can't get any closer than that. For my personal favorites, it would be a toss up between Trail's End Lodge or a property called The Lodges at Deer Valley. Trail's End is ski-in/ski-out via their own little connector trail, and they do daily breakfast and apres, and it's a real nice, comfortable place for families. The Lodges is a little further away from the slopes, but they have a shuttle service to get you and the kids up to the lifts and Snow Park base area.

Awesome! Where do you recommend staying so we are close to the ski school? I have a 5 year old who has never skiied before and 2 older kids (11, 14) who can ski pretty good. Want to make it easiest on my 5 year old but still good for everyone. Thanks!
