I know, I know! The sweat dripping off your brow does not seem to signal winter, but think again... it does! The dog days of summer are a sure sign that winter is only few months away. In fact, Solitude opened for skiing last year on November 6th. Now is the time to start your lunges, take advantage of early season pass prices and get your snow dance on!!
I will launch my official 100 day countdown to the ski season this Saturday, August 7, 2010, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the Salt Lake City Downtown Farmer’s Market. Ski Utah will take one dollar donations in exchange for flavorful yellow snow cones provided by Snowie to benefit Wasatch Backcountry Rescue avalanche dogs. Dogs will also be on hand to perform skills demonstrations and Utah ski resorts will hand out doggy bags full of swag and resort information.
It promises to be a stellarly epic time, so I hope you will be able to join us. Be sure to also stay tuned to the Ski Utah Blog for more great information on how to gear-up and share-up for another incredible Utah winter.
