The Eagle Superpipe is open and ready for action. We're proud to say that the US Snowboarding team will be training in the Eagle Superpipe through January 14th as well as many other podium topping athletes. You may see some high – flying action on King’s Crown run in the next week or two. We are proud to be the training ground for the best of the best as they dial in their X Games runs. We’re partnering with Monster Energy in hosting a big air, bag jump training session for some of their top ski and snowboard athletes. Look out for edits over the next few weeks. King’s Crown is set to host the world’s best skiers during the FIS Freestyle World Ski Championships Slopestyle event on February 3rd. This is the first time King's Crown will be host to a pro event! Look for the Crown to open to the public shortly after the event.
We’ll be putting together the slopestyle course over the next few weeks. The 2011 FIS Freestyle World Ski Championships will take place February 2 - 5, 2011 and will include aerial, moguls, dual moguls and ski cross competitions at Deer Valley Resort as well as ski halfpipe and slopestyle competitions at Park City Mountain Resort.
Finally, you're invited to meet the man who spends countless hours ensuring the Eagle Superpipe is nothing less than perfection, Tyson Goodrich. Go behind the scenes of building the world famous Eagle Superpipe and meet Tyson in this video.
Then drop in to see for yourself!
This is happening. Park City Mountain Resort is kicking off the FRIDAY NIGHT LIVE Rail Jam Series this weekend! Night 1 of the three-part am series is this Friday, January 14th. Money is cooler than product and that's why they’re handing out buckets of it for each division. That's right, men, women, ski, snowboard, groms and grandmas alike all get a money prize. The course will be setup under the bright lights of Three Kings Terrain Park near the base of Eagle Superpipe. The plan is to have a creative setup with cinco jib features. The event is a jam format and 5:00 is go time!
If you are coming to spectate they even have a treat for you. On top of having one of Skullcandy's best DJs, a product toss that would make Bode Merrill squeal and 100 skiers and snowboarders sending it, Park City is introducing the best announcing duo of 2011 - Pops and Tron. You'll also have a chance to rub elbows with some of Monster's top freeski athletes. So kick off the weekend with us at Friday Night Live. For all you twitter fools out there, we even created a hash tag for you to keep your fingers busy during the event. #FNL
Registration starts at 4 and there is only room for 100 competitors. Don't be late! Helmets are required. Live from Park City...it's Friday Night.
